How to determine your Ideal Body Width in relation to your shoulders as this width is immutable.
When people look at you they see width not circumference. The conversion factors were worked out by measuring 30 Fashion Models and working out a ratio of dimensional relationships. The formula's below represent the Quote Ideal Woman as decided by the fashion industry and are not totally realistic, But if you manage to achieve them you'll look like you just stepped out of a Victoria's Secret Catalog. The numbers in the table are my own when I was 150lb I have sense dropped to 135lb I intend to plug in the new numbers when I get time. But they will give you a general idea how close you can get. To get your width measurements, Measure a door jam inside width. Then stand in the doorway place the part of the body to be measured against the one jam then measure the distance from the other side of your body to the other jam subtract that from the doorway width and you have your body width. |

Hip pads are made of 28 or 31 high density polyurethane foam. Pads should be made 1/8 to 1/4 inch thicker than needed due to foam compression from hose and girdle. Foam should be worn next to skin as a mild adhesion takes place. If material is between the foam and skin the pads will slip and bunch. So just where Bikini or G-String type panties. The pads should start at hip bone reach full thickness at the top of the hip joint stay that thick to crotch line Then taper to nothing 4 to 5 inches below crotch. To where pads put on your undies or Gaf, Then Pantyhose position pads in hose, Then where a long or boy leg panty girdle that completely covers pads and wala instant girl. I realize allot of women do not have much in the way of hips , but everything about you that says Girl is one less thing to get you read. If you where a size 12 blouse then your skirt should be a size 12 not a 9 |
Inverse conversion factors working
from the waist not very useful but might be fun to play with. |
|
Inverse Conversion Factors
Shoulders | 1.815 x waist = shoulders |
Under Arms | 1.305 x waist = under arms |
Base of rib cage | 1.115 x waist = base rib |
Waist | 1.000 x waist = waist |
Hips | 1.480 x waist = hips |
CLOTHING... NOTE: sizing can vary
1/2" either way depending on whose chart you looking at and some even more. Although standards have been set few seem to follow them. The main thing to watch for is the distance from the shoulders to the waist line. HINT: find a dress that fits put the shoulder of the dress at your belt note where the waist lines up relative to your knee you now have a quick way to measure, The same can be done with sleeve length. |

The hip pads below I developed myself. I presently were size 7 x 34 wrangler high waist classic seat jeans and cut the pads to fill the hips perfectly with the pads my measurements are 35.5 26 39 and from any angle a female. Padding the hips greatly improves on the feminine illusion.
MAKING HIP PADS
Hip pads can be made from .28 to .31 high density polyurethane foam rubber as it this particular density behaves most like human fat it's compression in a girdle or control top hose is about the same as a woman would get using the same garment. Over the last few months I have come to prefer the .28 as the .31 pads have over time stiffened a bit from continued use and lost some of their elasticity although the still work quite well under tight panty girdle. This foam comes in white green blue and mustard color. I suggest using the white and dying it light beige with RIT cloth dye, It makes them less visible through the hose if you decide to forgo the panty girdle. Foam thickness should be .125"to .250"thicker than you need due to compression from hose and a slight collapse from continued use. The widest point on a woman's hips should be even with her crotch,The thickest part of the pads should extend from 1/2 inch above the hip joint and extend to the crotch then slowly tapering to nothing 4 to 5 inches below the crotch or about the leg length of a panty girdle I made two sets one for a regular long leg panty girdle the other for a boy leg girdle more suitable for short dresses. The girdle should completely cover the pads. My pads are aprox. 15" by 14". Another thing about poly foam when worn against the skin it tends to stick fast with a mild adhesion so the pads won't slide around they almost become part of you (and isn't that what we want girls) As for cutting and shaping you need a new razor sharp pair of scissors and a lot of patience. You can tape paper on your hips and legs then draw a template:
(1) Outline of the general shape of the pad.
(2) Mark thickness kind of like an altitude map of a mountain range.
(3) Beginning and ending points of taper.
(4) Don't get carried away!, For reference I made two 1" thick pads which compress to .750" and a pair of .500" fanny pads which compress to .250" and my hip measurement went from 38 to 41.50 and the thickest part of the pad is from 1/2 inch above the hip joint and extends to the crotch line.
(5) Look very hard at the shape of women's hips and fanny's, And develop a minds eye view of what fanny shape you want, Keeping in mind your own shape, Also note because of your larger rib cage the small of your waist will be a narrow area and a slow taper from the waist to the hip joint will make your waist appear more natural than a sharp fast slope to the desired width.
(5) Always start from the hip bone down as the width here is immutable.
(6) Do all your trimming on one side of pad as this rough side will face your skin leaving the original smooth side out.
